Moderate Islam is another invention of ours.” Adopting Western dress, she said, was easy; adopting Western values was not.   Then Fallaci threw down the gauntlet to the multicultural, politically correct, and fearful. “There is not,” she asserted, “good Islam or bad Islam. There is just Islam. And Islam is the Qur’an. And the Qur’an is the Mein Kampf of this movement. The Qur’an demands the annihilation or subjugation of the other, and wants to substitute totalitarianism for democracy. Read it over, that Mein Kampf. In whatever version, you will find that all the evil that the sons of Allah commit against themselves and against others is in it.” As jarring as such language is to contemporary sensibilities, Fallaci here made a statement of fact that can be verified or disproved. And indeed: Islamic terrorists such as Osama bin Laden, Zarqawi, and others have never hesitated to quote the Qur’an copiously to justify their actions. It remains for those who identify themselves as moderate Muslims to convince violent Muslims that they are misusing the Qur’an – if indeed they are – and should lay down their arms. They have had no notable success in this so far.   Fallaci’s a voice of rare courage. ...we may hope – for all our sakes – that many others will be ready to step into the breach and speak the truth as she did, whatever the cost, as she did. King Abdullah II assigned on Thursday Maarouf Al-Bakheet to form a new Jordanian cabinet to succeed that of his predecessor Adnan Badran, who officially submitted his cabinet's resignation to the King today.   Al-Bakheet, the Director of National Security Agency, was born in 1947. After graduating from Jordanian Royal Military Academy in 1966, Al-Bakheet joined the Jordanian forces as Second Lieutenant to continue his military service in different positions.   During his military service, Al-Bakheet led a team in charge of security relations with foreign countries and European security institutions. He also contributed to the academic domain as he served as Vice President and political science professor in Moota University for Military Affairs. Terrorists not Muslims
By excluding the murderers from the boundaries of Islam, there is no possibility to study the weakness of a society that produces murderers wholesale.  Self-criticism is possible only when a society dares recognize the fact that the dregs of that society are, in fact, part of that society.  To our incredible sorrow, there are few signs to suggest that this process has gripped Muslim society.  Denial is the heritage of the masses and the heritage of the intellectuals. The claim that it is impossible for Muslims to carry out such a loathsome act, and therefore the culprits cannot possibly be Muslim, is simply understood by many Jordanians: If the attack wasn't carried out by Muslims, then it must have been carried out by someone else.

Comments: The King is beginning to stand up and out like a sore thumb. The bombing was the catalyst to bring him to the forefront and the 'world' will rally behind him. By 'peace', or in the name of peace, he shall 'destroy many'. His stand against terror is what gets the 'crown given unto him' I think, and he will go forth 'conquering and to conquer'.  Meanwhile, Christendom (those who should know and see this coming better than anyone) goes on fat, dumb, happy, and clueless, blinded by tradition, whereas, knowing the scriptures and being watchmen as they should, they should rather be shouting from the rooftops of the impending danger ahead!

Though this remains only a small percentage of the EU's total inhabitants, the Muslim subset is both rapidly growing and has become progressively radicalized.   Today, an intolerant and violent extremist political ideology known as Islamofacism has taken hold throughout Muslim communities in France and much of Western Europe. Moreover, this fast-spreading strain is on its way to becoming the dominant face of Islam in the EU. It is profoundly anti-Western, supported directly or indirectly by Saudi sources, and marked by wholesale rejection of such fundamental European values as democracy, secularism, separation of church and state, human rights and modernity.

"Each religious community (millet) would enjoy the right to organize its social, cultural and educational life in accordance with its religious beliefs."  A de facto millet system already is in place in parts of France, Taheri noted: "In these areas, all women are obliged to wear the standardized Islamist hijab while most men grow their beards to the lengths prescribed by the sheiks."  Unless the invertebrates in charge can grow spines, France seems poised to become what Spain was before Ferdinand and Isabella, a patchwork of principalities where Moors ruled some communities, Christians others, with constant tension between them.  It seems inconceivable that a civilized Western nation would bargain away to a handful of thugs its democratic principles and sovereignty over much of its territory. But the Islamists may well succeed. For though what the Islamists believe in is vile and reactionary, it is something. The French believe in nothing.
