The
present-day Sanhedrin Court decided Tuesday to purchase a herd of

ANALYSIS: Experts
sceptical over outcome of Jordan's king US trip
Monsters & Critics
2007/2/28
An imminent trip to the United States by Jordan's King Abdullah
II provides a 'historic' opportunity to revive the Middle East peace
process, prominent analysts and politicians said Wednesday.
However, they told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa that
judging by previous experience there are 'no guarantees' that
the US administration will respond to the monarch's warning against
the risks inherent in a failure to forge an early peace agreement
between Israel and the Palestinians.
'I think it is a
historic trip by all standards during which the king stands a very
good chance of alerting both the US public and the administration to
the seriousness of a failure to ensure a resumption of the peace
talks,' said Mohammad Masri from
the state-run Strategic Studies Centre of the University of Jordan.
'But
responding to the monarch's efforts is something else. We don't have
guarantees that this will happen,'
he added. ...

Iran
Establishes Military Liaison With Turkey
News Blaze.com 2007/2/28
AKI reports that the retired Iranian General Alireza Asqhari has been
missing since checking into the Hotel Ghilan in Istanbul. He is a
former general of the Iran Revolutionary Guards (Pasdaran) and was
Deputy Defense Minister under President Mohammad Khatami, 1997-2005.
...it is clear that since he arrived in Istanbul via Damascus he must
have had a very important appointment." I suspect
Asqhari's appointment was with the highest level of Turkey's military
- industrial establishment, Turkey's command level. Tehran is making a
diplomatic effort to find him is just a cover for his real
mission-liaison officer between Iran and Turkey's military. His
meeting in Damascus was no doubt the same. This is similar to the
Reuters announcement in late 2000's that Iran-Turkey were comparing
intelligence information but they would not say about where. In
February 2001 the fighting began in Macedonia started by Albanians,
who are mostly Islamic. The fighting was designed to lure
NATO-Brussels deeper into the Balkans in order to take advantage of
the disastrous mistake the West made when it encouraged and recognized
the divided Yugoslavia as six new independent states in constant war,
conflict or near conflict with each other. Brussels, eagerly
committing NATO forces to this theatre, has put them completely out of
position, less effective in the Mediterranean and non-existent on the
deciding front, the Caucasus - Caspian region. General
Asqhari's departure coincides with Pakistan President General Pervez
Musharraf's recent nine-nation tour of Islamic capitals and when he
visited Tehran, Feb. 5, he presented Iran's government with his
"Action Plan"- offensive warfare against India. ...
Is Islamofascism a Legitimate Threat to
Liberty?
The
Liberty Papers 2007/2/28
In my
recent post about Michael Charles Smith, I received a response from a
reader by the name of Carl Deen regarding my support for the war
against terror Islamofascism (Not the war on terror. Terrorism is the
method the Islamofascist uses to accomplish his political-religious
goals). I think his challenge is worth a post of
its own so rather than responding in the original post, I have decided
to answer him here. ...So
yes Mr. Deen, I do believe
that America was right to go into Iraq based on the intelligence
available at the time and no I do not think our troops should stay
there forever. Iraq is now a central front in a much larger war
against Islamofascisim; a war which will continue as long as there are
Islamofascists who intend to destroy our country and our way of life.
Extremist rabbis call for return of animal
sacrifice
CNN
2007/2/28
A fringe
group of extremist rabbis wants to resume the biblical practice of
animal sacrifice at an explosive religious site in Jerusalem,
members said Wednesday. ...a group, called the "Re-established
Sanhedrin" after the Temple-era religious high court, has decided to
buy some sheep and try to find one that is ritually perfect for
sacrifice, with an eye toward resuming the practice at the Jerusalem
site, known to Jews as the Temple Mount. ..."We
want to do the sacrifice,
but we have political problems," Stein said.
"We hope there will
come a time when the government will agree. We will push for that to
happen."
Other rabbis point out that ritual animal sacrifice has been
banned since the destruction of the Second Temple in A.D. 70.
"Around that time, animal sacrifice, as a mode of religious worship,
stopped," said Rabbi Doniel Hartman of the Shalom Hartman Institute in
Jerusalem. "Moving back in that direction is not progress."
? Daniel 9:27 And he
shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the
midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to
cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make
it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be
poured upon the desolate.
We know from the the scripture that they will
at least eventually start this sacrificing. However, we do not
know how long it goes on before it is halted by the 'Little Horn'
character turned antichrist.

Israeli Official: "Syria, Hizbullah Will Attack if Iran is Hit"
Arutz Sheva

Israeli security officials said if any war breaks out involving Iran,
they expect Syria, Hizbullah and terrorist groups in Judea, Samaria
and Gaza to join the fray and attack Israel. This assumption is echoed
by terrorist leaders from several groups. ...In addition to
longer-range Scuds, Syria is in possession of shorter-range missiles
such as 220mm and 305mm rockets, some of which have been passed on to
Hizbullah. Terrorist leaders are saying openly that an
attack on Iran will lead to a coordinated counterattack on Israel and
US interests. A senior leader of the Islamic Jihad group says that
during any attack on Iran, his organization has been directed by Iran
to "wreak havoc" on Israel with suicide bombings, rocket attacks and

Secular Scholars Back Christian 'Jesus Tomb' Arguments

Prominent non-Christian experts, using many of the same arguments as
Christian scholars, have dismissed recent claims of the discovery of
Jesus’ family tomb as a publicity stunt without scientific backing.
...A retired archaeology professor at the University of Arizona has
also emphasized the commonness of the names found on the ossuaries as
reason not to take the purported new discovery serious.

archaeologists, and none of us thought it was much of a story,” said
William G. Dever to The Washington Post, “and none of us thought it

added, “and it will upset millions of innocent people because

An explanation as to why Jimmy Carter has become so sharply critical
of Israel came to light this week when The Jewish Week discovered
the former president has become a secret leader of a small but
vocal anti-Zionist group, based in the Mea Shearim section of
Jerusalem. Documents reveal that the one-term president
had his name legally changed last year to Jimmy Nuterei Carter, and he
has advised the group, the Nuterei Karta, to protest against a modern
Jewish state in the Biblical land of Israel.
“My views and theirs are very similar,” Carter told The
Jewish Week. “As I have written and preached, only God can rule
in the land of Israel. And when I learned that these gentlemen feel
the same, I agreed to write the book,” he said, referring to
his controversial best-seller: “Israel Is An Obnoxious Apartheid

U.S. Plans a
Meeting with Iran and Syria
The
Washington Post 2007/2/25
The Bush administration finally appears ready to meet with
official representatives of Iran and Syria -- as part of a planned
regional conference in Baghdad to discuss ways to stabilize Iraq.
Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari proposed the regional conference
recently. What has so far escaped public attention is in addition to
Iraq’s neighbors, the meeting is expected to include representatives
of the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council -- Britain,
France, Russia, China and the United States. The meeting is
likely to take place during the next few weeks. ...
A solution to save
the region
MENAfn
2007/2/25
...A report carried by Israeli newspaper Haaretz on Thursday should be
seen against the backdrop of US moves to strike at Iran, since it
seems to be designed to influence world public opinion, to convince it
that Syria is on a war path and Israel would have to defend itself by
preemptive action. If true, the reported Syrian
build-up could be a message to Israel, which is itching to unleash its
air power against Iran under the pretext the
latter is hard at work on
its nuclear programme. If untrue, it is definitely part of Israel's
preparations to launch military action against Syria.
Many other
elements are thrown into the equation, with Haaretz reporting that
Syria is on an "unprecedented" drive to acquire sophisticated weapons
and Damascus planning to use Lebanon's Hizbollah for armed action
against Israel. ...The Syrians could make any Israeli military
action against it very costly in terms of casualties and damage; it is
no secret that Syria has in its possession missiles and rockets that
could carry chemical warheads and hit all major Israeli population
centres. Against this background, any Israeli move
against Syria under the pretext that the Syrians are preparing for war
could prove to be a major blunder. Surely the Israelis are aware of
it, and that seems to be the best deterrent. In the
meantime, the US is steadily moving towards military action
against Iran ...It is an issue that should preoccupy the Arab minds
ahead of the summit of Arab leaders next month.
The Arabs have to come up
with a solution that would avert another war.
It is not an easy task, but it has to be undertaken since a US-Iran
military conflagration would twist beyond recognition the shape of the
region as we know it today.
This all the more appears
that the Arabs must come together as a sort of 'United States of
Arabia' to avert the current politically and militarily 'engineered'
scenario. The results which will most likely be the political
entity that the beast from the bottom of the pit utilizes to fulfill
its evil plan as foretold in the books of Daniel and Revelation.
Israeli troops raid
largest West Bank city
StarTribune.com 2007/2/25
NABLUS, West Bank — Dozens of Israeli jeeps and armored vehicles
poured into Nablus overnight Sunday, placing large areas of the city
under curfew and conducting house-to-house arrest raids in one of the
largest West Bank military operations in months. The
army also took over local television and radio stations, ordering
people to remain indoors and warning residents that the clampdown
would remain in effect for several days, Palestinian residents said.
Two soldiers and several Palestinians were lightly wounded in clashes,
officials said. An Israeli military spokesman said
the operation was aimed at countering "terrorist threats" in Nablus.
The raid came a day after Israeli troops discovered an explosives
laboratory in the city. Nablus, the West Bank's largest city and

King Abdullah II
of Jordan to Address Joint Meeting of Congress
EarthTimes.org
2007/2/24
...King Abdullah is scheduled to address a joint meeting of the
U.S. Congress on March 7, 2007, to urge more American engagement in
the Middle East peace process. According to an
informed source at the Royal Hashemite Court, the address to
Congress is a unique opportunity to articulate the Arab states' vision
of comprehensive regional peace based on the 2002 Arab Peace
Initiative. The Palestinian-Israeli conflict will be a key focus of
the King's address, the source said, because it remains the core
conflict in the region, and a solution to that conflict would
facilitate the resolution of other regional challenges.
...The King will be the first head of state to address a joint
meeting of this Congress, now controlled by Democrats, and the first
Congress to have a woman as speaker of the House and to include a
Muslim-American member. ...King Abdullah will also meet with
American Arab, Muslim and Jewish leaders to discuss the role that
their communities can play in Middle East peace and in advancing
international understanding. ...The King's meetings are one
component of Arab diplomacy intended to help project the Arab position
on regional peace in world capitals and build momentum for the
resumption of Palestinian-Israeli peace talks and to maintain
international support for Iraq's unity, security, stability and
reconstruction.

Muslim Leader To Be Investigated For Incitement

The Battle on the Temple Mount
FrontPageMag.com 2007/2/22
A furor erupted in Jerusalem last week. It concerns the
construction of a new walkway to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem,
intended to replace an earlier bridge that had collapsed. The only one
that permits entry to the Mount for non-Muslims, via the Mughrabi Gate,
the bridge is located near the Western Wall, and completely within
Israeli jurisdiction. The work was being done under the umbrella of
the Israeli Antiquities Authority and had been cleared by a municipal
planning commission in Jerusalem. ...Daoud Kuttab, the Palestinian
journalist, rejects the idea that the Israeli dig is “nothing more
than a municipal action,” positing that Israel must have a more
sinister agenda. Thus, he writes of Israel's insistence on annexing
east Jerusalem, and cutting off its Arab population from outlying
areas with the security fence. He advises us that the "calls for help
from [east Jerusalem's] Muslim community have now been heard by
Palestinian Muslims who are citizens of the State of Israel." And he
warns that “the Islamic movement in Israel is all over the city in a
strong and powerful way.” Which “calls for help” is Kuttab
suggesting have gone out from the Arabs of east Jerusalem? Almost
certainly, it has nothing to do with stopping the construction
of a walkway. The outrage over the walkway is only the latest front in
the ongoing war against Israel. For Palestinian Arabs, nothing will
truly suffice except total Israeli surrender.

Jordan's peace initiative: scuppered by Abbas signing the Mecca deal
UN Observer
2007/2/22
King Abdullah II of Jordan is apparently angry with Palestinian
President Abbas for having signed the Mecca agreement, and
therefore endangering a Middle East peace initiative he had planned,
the Israeli paper 'Maariv' claimed on Tuesday. According
to the paper, King Abdullah has been working on this initiative
for several months and he was planning to soon initiate secret
negotiations between Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and President
Abbas without any involvement of Hamas. His initiative
included demanding that Abbas call early elections, in which Hamas
would fail. The Jordanian monarch would coordinate his initiative with
other so-called moderate Arab states, such as Saudi Arabia, the United
Arab Emirates and Egypt, in order to reach a regional peace agreement
that would include the Arab countries' official recognition of Israel.
'Maariv' suggested that King Abdullah's plan would have been
accepted by the USA and Israel. The plan was also tipped to make the
Middle East a more peaceful region and to restrain the Shi'ite
expansion in the region, which is worrying both Sunni-majority Jordan
and Israel. ...The paper detailed the Jordanian monarch's plan
as follows:
1. Secret talks between Olmert and Abbas
2. Abbas to announce early elections on the basis of mutual
recognition between Israel and the Palestinian Authority
3. Overthrow the Hamas movement and sign a peace agreement with Israel
4. Launch diplomatic relations between the Arab states and Israel
5. Calm the situation in the Middle East, thereby reducing the level
of terror
6. End the intifada

Iran - Ready to attack, American preparations for invading Iran are
complete
Global
Research 2007/2/19
American military operations for a major conventional war with
Iran could be implemented any day. They extend far beyond
targeting suspect WMD facilities and will enable President Bush to
destroy Iran's military, political and economic infrastructure
overnight using conventional weapons. British military
sources told the New Statesman, on condition of anonymity, that "the
US military switched its whole focus to Iran" as soon as Saddam
Hussein was kicked out of Baghdad. It continued this strategy, even
though it had American infantry bogged down in fighting the insurgency
in Iraq. The US army, navy, air force and marines
have all prepared battle plans and spent four years building bases and
training for "Operation Iranian Freedom". Admiral Fallon, the new head
of US Central Command, has inherited computerised plans under the name
TIRANNT (Theatre Iran Near Term). The Bush
administration has made much of sending a second aircraft carrier to
the Gulf. But it is a tiny part of the preparations. ...

Muslim prayer room found near Mugrabi Gate
yNetNews
2007/2/18
Remains of an ancient Muslim prayer room were found under the dirt
embankment adjacent to the Mugrabi Gate in 2004, yet the findings,
unearthed after part of the embankment collapsed into the Western Wall
compound, were kept secret until now. ...The remains apparently
date back to the 11th century, the Salah al-Din era known as
the Ayub Period and which is of great significance to the Muslim
world. This important finding was kept secret in fear that the Muslim
community would demand that the site, adjacent to the Western Wall
compound, be declared sacred. One of the Muslim
arguments regarding the works taking place near the Mugrabi Bridge is
that the destruction of the embankment would damage Muslim sites. The
findings published by the Antiquities Authority are likely to support
this argument. ...

Why did Putin visit the Middle East?
Turkish
Daily News 2007/2/17
...Putin set the stage for his visit by taking a very
anti-American position at the Munich Security Conference which took
place just before he visited the Middle East. At the
conference he lambasted the United States for its reckless unipolar
policies and for its “almost unconstrained hyper-use of force” – words
that were well-received by the Sunni Arab states in the region which
he visited where the U.S. invasion of Iraq, with its resultant
strengthening of both the Iraqi Shia and Iran, is deeply unpopular.
Putin further enamored his hosts with his call for an International
conference to settle the Arab-Israeli Conflict – a conference opposed
by the United States – and for the Quartet to lift its
economic sanctions against the new Palestinian Unity Government, even
though it did not meet the Quartet criteria for the resumption of aid
which required it to recognize Israel, renounce violence and accept
all previous Israeli-Palestinian agreements. In taking
these actions, Putin was not only demonstrating Russia's
independent position in the world, it was offering the three Arab
states an alternative to their alignment with the United States.

Jerusalem: Sacred Deceptions
Jewish
Exponent 2007/2/15
If there was any
doubt that religious symbolism dominates the news from the Middle
East, it was dispelled by the two biggest stories emanating from the
region last week: a conference in Mecca and a dispute about
Jerusalem's Temple Mount. But if there was any unifying theme to these
two contrasting stories, it was that deception seemed to be at the
heart of both. ...What the Mecca agreement has done is to
repackage a government of terrorists, and give it the facade of
respectability and moderation that P.A. President Mahmoud Abbas still
retains, despite the large volume of evidence that his own intentions
are far from peaceful. That Abbas was a clear loser in the
agreement is obvious. Those waiting for him to use the
considerable force at his disposal to defeat Hamas were obviously
misled. Mecca also enhances the prestige of the
Saudis at a time when this nation and other so-called Arab "moderates"
feel the need to respond to the growing influence of Iran. This is one
reason why many are urging Washington to reward the Mecca signers with
a halt to the boycott of the P.A. In the context of the war in Iraq,
this gives the United States a rationale to go along with the
deception. ...

Jordan's Monarch
Meets Abbas, Backs Mecca Accord

Jordan's King Abdullah II told visiting Palestinian President
Mahmoud Abbas Monday that Jordan supported the Mecca
accord concluded last week between the Fatah and Hamas groups,
an official statement said. The monarch also backed the
formation of a coalition Palestinian government as the agreement
foresees, and expressed hope that such a measure would help the
Palestinians and Israelis
"to start the final
status talks at once",
the royal statement said.
"The king stressed
the need for building up a unified Palestinian attitude that meets the
requirements of the forthcoming stage and presents the Palestinians as
a strong peace partner capable of going ahead in the peace process in
the run-up for the setting up of an independent Palestinian state,"
the statement added.
King Abdullah warned
that the time element in the forthcoming stage was "very important",
and added, "Therefore, the Palestinians and Israelis should spare time
and start the final status talks immediately".

Investors from the GCC look set to begin a mad dash to acquire a
foothold in Jordan’s economy as the Hashemite Kingdom invites offers

the privatisation process in the last year and we will keep the same
momentum this year,” he added. The government has given six
consortiums who prequalified for the airport concession until the end
of March to submit their financial and technical offers.

Temple Mount Dig Connects
Jewish Past
CBNNews 2007/2/9
When the Islamic Waqf began construction in 1999 of an
underground mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, many Israeli
archeologists tried in vain to stop the illegal digging that dumped
tons of debris in Jerusalem's Kidron Valley. But a salvage
operation on the debris is recovering ancient artifacts and in the
process rediscovering Israel's past. ...While the
archaelogical work sifts through history, it takes on enormous
significance in today's Israeli-Palestinian conflict. That's because
some Palestinians say Jerusalem never was a Jewish city.
For example, during the Camp David negotiations in the summer of 2000,
Yasser Arafat told President Clinton there never was a Jewish temple
on the Temple Mount. Barkay believes alongside the five-year-old armed
intifada, there's also an attempt to erase Jewish history and culture.

Sunni, Shi’a and the “Trotskyists of Islam”
OpenDemocracy.com
2007/2/9
...Unlike the Sunni, who had historically accepted the legitimacy of
Islamic rulers, the caliphs, and who paid their clergy from state
funds, thereby controlling them, the Shi'a refused to accept the
Muslim credentials of their rulers and produced a clergy, paid for by
the subscriptions of the faithful, that were closer to the people and
so more radical.
I recall a conversation with Ibrahim Yazdi, the first foreign minister
of the Islamic Republic of Iran (who after Ayatollah Khomeini's death
spent years under virtual house arrest in Tehran). As he sat under the
enormous chandeliers of what had been the Shah's foreign ministry, he
exclaimed with pride: "We are the Trotskyists of Islam!"
The logic of Yazdi's characterisation - with its echoes of the
Russian revolutionary leader's theory of "permanent revolution" - was
to spread Iran's radical anti-imperialism across the region: a
force far superior, in his view, to the then vacillating as well as
pro-Soviet ideology of the secular left.
Much of this was simplistic and one-sided: like all bodies of
religious text and tradition, Shi'a and Sunni beliefs are liable to
many interpretations. Iran has chosen, however, to put a
militant stamp on its beliefs and, in a revolution that has far from
run its course, to promote these values across the Muslim world.
Today, this international radicalism of the Iranian revolution has
come to be an explosive force in the middle east: directed on one side
against the United States, but in a dangerous inflaming of communal
relations, against Sunni Muslims as well. ...

Archeologist:
Ancient cistern proves location of Second Temple
The Jerusalem Post

archeologist said Wednesday that he has pinpointed the exact location
of the Second Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount.
...The giant cistern, 4.5 meters wide and 54 meters long, lay near the
southeastern corner of the upper platform of the Temple Mount.
Examining the location and configuration of the cistern together with
descriptions of the daily rite in the Temple and its surroundings
found in the Mishna, Patrich said that this cistern is the only
one found on the Temple Mount that can tie in with the ancient
rabbinic text describing elements involved in the daily purification
and sacrificial duties carried out by the priests on the altar in the
Temple courtyard. ...After this purification, the priests
ascended the nearby ramp to the sacrificial altar. By thus
locating the laver, the water wheel, the ramp and the altar, one can
then finally map, again in coordination with the Mishna, the alignment
of the Temple itself and its gates and chambers, he said. ...

Dividing the land of
Israel
Renew America 2007/2/6

This week all warring Palestinian factions are gathered in Mecca to
find a way to stop killing each other. Using an obscure Islamic law,
King Abdullah basically set these people at a table to force their
hand at peace. King Abdullah II of Jordan has stated
several times that the peace process in the Middle East must begin
with the Palestinians and the Jews. Yet the past months of slaughter
had nothing to do with Israel, only a power play between Palestinian
factions to see who carries the rifles and calls the shots.
Condalesa Rice made a statement that America will have no greater
legacy than to divide the land of Israel and give the poor
Palestinians a home of their own, irregardless of the Palestinian
refusal to accept Israel as a sovereign nation. The U.N.,
U.S.A., Arab League, G11, G8, Russia, China, Japan, and pretty much
the rest of the entire globe have agreed to the drafted plan for peace
in hopes of stemming the almost daily bloodshed by Islamists who are
bent on the eradication of Israel. Even Israeli
leaders have made concessions I thought I would never see in my
lifetime, such as allowing the 400 foot minaret emblazoned with the
Hashemite symbol, the label of Mohammeds' kingdom on Earth.
The Temple Mount has been slated for a new Synagogue as agreed upon

caretaker of the Islamic holy place and a direct descendent of
Mohammed. ...

Islamic Supremacy at the DNC
FrontPageMag.com 2007/2/6
Many people in today’s Democratic party have contempt for religion,
but they still have time for prayer. Last Friday, during the
Democratic National Committee’s Annual Winter Meeting in Washington,
Husham Al-Husainy, Imam of the Karbalaa Islamic Education Center, a
Shi’ite mosque in Dearborn, Michigan, offered an invocation. As the
assembled Democrats bowed their heads, Al-Husainy prayed:
In the name of God
the most merciful, the most compassionate. We thank you, God, to
bless us among your creations. We thank you, God, to make us as a
great nation. We thank you God, to send us your messages through our
father Abraham and Moses and Jesus and Mohammed. Through you, God,
we unite. So guide us to the right path. The path of the
people you bless, not the path of the people you doom. Help us, God,
to liberate and fill this earth with justice and peace and love and
equality. And help us to stop the war and violence, and oppression
and occupation. Ameen.
A touching moment of
ecumenical generosity and hope for peace? Not quite. In mentioning
“Abraham and Moses and Jesus and Mohammed,” Al-Husainy no doubt
sounded as if he was expansive, broad-minded, and not narrowly
sectarian to the assembled Democrats. But in fact, he was almost
certainly invoking them in their capacity as Muslim prophets

Israel allows
minaret over Temple Mount
Olmert consents to Muslim prayer tower while denying
Jewish plans for synagogue
WorldNetDaily
2007/2/1
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has given permission for Jordan to
build a large minaret adjacent to a mosque on the Temple Mount to call
Muslims to prayer at the holy site, WND has learned.
The minaret will stand at a site on the Mount where Jewish
groups here had petitioned to build a synagogue. ...Aryeh
Eldad, a Knesset member from Israel's National Union party, last year
drew up plans with Jewish groups to build a synagogue near the Marwani
Mosque. The synagogue was to be built in accordance with rulings from
several prominent rabbis, who said Jews can ascend the Mount at
certain areas. A top leader of the Waqf – the Islamic
custodians of the Mount – told WND Olmert's granting of permission to
build the minaret in the synagogue's place "confirms 100-percent the
Haram al-Sharif (Temple Mount) belongs to Muslims." ...A senior
Olmert adviser today confirmed to WND the Israeli prime
minister told Abdullah he will allow the minaret's construction.

Did he or didn't he give
permission to build it on the synagogue's planned site? Ok, on
Temple Mount adjacent to a mosque ...yes, but on the planned
synagogue's site? So say the Palestinians. We will watch

PA's Abbas Is
No Moderate: His Fatah Constitution Calls For Destruction Of Israel
And Terrorism
Zionist Organization of America 2007/2/1
Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas and his political
party Fatah is consistently labeled "moderate" by Western press,
European governments, and the Bush Administration. In reality, Fatah's
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades are a fully operational and terrorist
organization operating under the clear and published directives of the
Fatah constitution, directives that endorse and encourage terrorism.
Officially designated as a Foreign Terrorist organization since 2002,
Al-Aqsa is responsible for the killing and injuring hundreds of
Israeli and American civilians. The
Fatah
constitution, readily available online, firmly rejects
"moderation" up front, setting forth in its "Essential Principles"
that the Palestinian struggle is not and cannot be a political
struggle, but violent armed conflict is the "inevitable method" to
destroy Israel, and that this is the stated goal of the Party.
...Article (19) Armed struggle is a strategy and not a tactic, and the
Palestinian Arab People's armed revolution is a decisive factor in the
liberation fight and in uprooting the Zionist existence, and this
struggle will not cease unless the Zionist state is demolished and
Palestine is completely liberated. ...
